It is because of the pandemic one could say that the consoles were sold a lot as everyone was practicing social distancing, and people were busy working from home. Therefore, after work, or being homebound made people want to indulge in some activities, and many people chose buying PS5 consoles as a way to spend quality time playing through numerous stories.
While the demand for PS5 increased, the demand for PS4 has decreased, there has been a 77% decrease in the sales of PS4 ever since the COVID-19 pandemic started and the newest console of Sony which is the PS5 was released. This is not a new thing; it happened the same for PS3 when PS4 was released.
PS5 is the future because Sony has said that they gained a lot of profit and their expectations have been surpassed when it comes to the sales of PS5. Its features are greatly appreciated by the gamers and so far, PS5 has been on top in the console industry, and this seems to be the case always, even when PS2, PS3, and PS4 were released, PlayStation has always stayed on top, and with PS5, things remain the same.
